t.jpg (2762 bytes) he BASILISK Project:  In February of 2006 Privateer Media, LLC announced it was independently financing the construction of a Revolutionary War "Class B" tall ship.  Tentatively named BASILISK, the vessel will be operated by Privateer Media as a history/production resource and maritime educational tool.

i.jpg (2979 bytes) skyphoto2xs.jpg (72203 bytes)n May of 2006 Privateer Media began construction of a boat barn capable of building and maintaining vessels up to 40' in length.  The facility will be fully outfitted with traditional boatbuilding tools and is expected to be operational by early 2007.

Lofting the plans for the BASILISK is planned to begin as early as May of 2007, with the keel being laid several months later.  News of the project will be posted here as details become available.
